The Irish Visa Office in Beijing was designed by Wilson Architecture for the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ireland. Using materials as a starting point, the atmosphere ties visually to Ireland by using green marble for the reception counter and floors and oak furniture and details throughout the space. Upon entry the eye is quickly met with striking enlarged Irish landscape photography and a dramatic backdrop of oak and green ribbed timber which flows up and over the head. The ambience is comfortable and inviting, an Irish welcome always a priority!
