Wilson Architecture: Delivering Thoughtful Designs for High-End Residential Developments
Wilson Architecture has extensive experience working on bespoke residential projects, combining heritage conservation with modern design principles. A recent example of our involvement is the Mount Prospect site in Passage West, Cork—a location with a notable history dating back to the Victorian era. The site includes the historic Mount Prospect house, which originally served as an industrial school and orphanage, and is now set to be transformed into part of a development of 18 detached family homes.
Our role in this project involved collaborating with the wider design team on the detailed planning and layout of the new homes, which are designed to fit seamlessly into the existing surroundings and preserve the area’s character. The proposed development includes a mix of contemporary houses with spacious interiors, extensive green spaces, and views over Cork Harbour, all within an environmentally sensitive setting.
Work on this project highlights our capabilities in designing within complex historical and ecological contexts, ensuring developments are both sensitive to their environment and tailored to meet modern living standards. We are proud to contribute to projects that respect the historical fabric of their locations while providing high-quality, sustainable homes for future residents.
Along with Wilson Architecture the design team included Design Forum as Conservation Architects; Keystone Planning Consultants and Cunnane Stratton Reynolds-Landscaping.
